Prospective adoptive families in our program complete an extensive ‘home study’ process in which they participate in interviews with a trained home study social worker; they also undergo background checks and other verifications of suitability for adoptive parenthood. Our families participate in adoption education as well so that they can help a child grow up with full knowledge of their adoption, with a clear sense of the caring and love of their birth family and with confidence and self-esteem.
